All prizes you can compete for will be announced on 3 July at your registered Official GovHack Location 2015 launch party at 7pm! After then you can find the prize structure here.

Teams are eligible for some great prizes, in addition to honour and fame, including:

  • International Prizes
  • Australian or New Zealand GovHack Prizes
  • Local GovHack Prizes
  • People’s Choice Award
  • Spirit of GovHack Prizes for outstanding participation and collaboration, both locally and overall.

GovHack teams can select which prizes they wish to compete for through the HackerSpace (where you submit your entry).  One project can be submitted for multiple categories, so long as it meets all eligibility criteria for the categories nominated. Each prize category has a description and many have specific datasets you need to use, with some serving suggestions if you are looking for ideas.

All entries are subject to the competition rules so be sure to check them out. We also encourage you to use the GovHack 2015 Resources for information that might help.

Make sure you nominate to compete for both Local and Global categories to increase your chance at winning!

Before the launch, check out the datasets, developer tools and competition rules to get prepared.

Prizes are made possible by our generous sponsors.
