GovHack NZ – important information ahead of tonight

2017 Prizes and awards

Ahead of tonight, some important reminders

There’s _heaps_ of data to play with this year. Check out our 2017 data page for a list, and feel free to let us know if there’s something we’ve missed :D

2017 data

We’ll be posting the details for the prizes and bounties on the website at 7pm tonight (Friday night). That page will also have a link to the place where you upload your video and code (at the end of the competition), the details for our sponsors helpdesk slack channel, and the data frustrations helpdesk.

Also, a big shoutout to our newest international sponsors, Accenture and Ed :)

2017 prizes and bounties

Keep an eye on our tools and resources page, where we’ll post links to sponsor offers, tools and knowledge resources!

This page also has a link to a video with tips on how to make your video entry awesome. Note: your video and code needs to be uploaded to the hackerspace by 5pm on Sunday latest.

Tools and resources

Please make sure you’ve read the competition rules and participants pack! Both contain very important information, including our Code of Conduct.

Tickets – waitlists and cancellations

We’re shutting down registrations already and over the next few days. If you’re on a waitlist, look out for an email from us.

If you have a ticket and your plans have changed – we know, life happens – please cancel it ASAP so it can go to someone on a waitlist. The easiest way to do this is to go to the ticket Eventbrite emailed you and page down until you see “My account” – that section gives you instructions on how to change/cancel your ticket.

Staying up to date

We’ve got tonnes of information about GovHack on our website, at – videos, information packs, blog posts and more.
