GovHack 2016 will be taking place in Auckland:

Access: The NZI Centre is wheelchair accessible and has accessible amenities
Facilities on site: WiFi, whiteboards, pens and paper, working spaces, kitchen/chillout areas, power sockets, toilets, sickbay.
Opening times: 5pm – 10pm Friday, 8am – 10pm Saturday, 8am – 6pm Sunday.
Security: There will be security guards stationed around the open areas throughout the weekend, however please take care of your personal belongings and don’t leave them unattended. Both IAG and GovHack hold no responsibility for any personal items lost or damaged over the weekend.
Car parking: There are 50 car parks under the NZI Centre (access from Lucy Lane) and are taken on a first come, first served basis. The Fanshawe Street Parking building (72-100 Fanshawe Street), Viaduct Carpark (Sturdee Street) and Downtown Carpark (31 Customs Street West) are all within two minutes walk away.
Public transport: There are a number of busses that stop near the NZI Centre (for example on Fanshawe Street and Sturdee Street), including the citylink (red) bus, Northern Express, and others from the North Shore. The NZI building is 7-10 minutes walk from the ferry terminals and Britomart. Please see the Auckland Transport website (or app) or Google to choose the best transport route for you.
Registration on Friday 29: Registration check in opens at 5:30pm, with the competition starting at 7pm.
Food: We will be providing main meals over the weekend (Friday – nibbles and drinks, Saturday – breakfast, lunch, dinner, Sunday – breakfast, lunch, afternoon tea) as well as a range of snacks. Vegetarian, vegan and gluten free options will be available, water stations placed around the working and chill areas, plus a coffee van will be arriving at certain times (TBC).
